Third Grade incorporates hands-on activities, projects, and games to make the educational experience more enjoyable and memorable for students. Students actively look up Bible verses, which helps them learn and understand more about Jesus. This could include group discussions, art projects, or role-playing scenarios to make the lessons more interesting. Religion is woven into all subjects, allowing students to see connections between their faith and everyday learning.
Focusing on memorizing basic math facts through games and fun activities, rather than just worksheets, helps keep students engaged. Techniques, like timed quizzes, math relays, or interactive math centers, can make practice more enjoyable.
We use Studies Weekly to encourage exploration of Michigan's history and culture. Lessons can include interactive projects like creating timelines, maps, or presentations about significant events and local heritage.
Mystery Science engages students with hands-on experiments encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. Students can participate in experiments, watch videos, and ask questions making science feel alive and relevant.
Third Grade Favorites include: Wax Museum/State Project (alternating years,) Build-a-Robot, Multiplication Sundae, Stone Soup, Publishing a Class Book & their annual field trip to Cranbrook.
