At SWCS, we ensure middle school students are prepared for the high expectations in their future academic endeavors. We work collaboratively to design and implement instructional programming to meet the needs of our diverse learners.
ELA: The continuous practice of ELA provides students the ability to develop necessary critical thinking skills such as literary analysis, evidence-based writing, and applied vocabulary/grammar. We use mentor sentences, writing prompts in interactive notebooks, Sadlier vocabulary, and age-appropriate novels to ensure middle school students master key proficiencies.
MATH: Together we can empower your child to develop strong mathematical skills, a love for learning, and the confidence to tackle any math challenge that comes their way. Below are just some of the tools we use to empower our students:Middle School Favorites include: Student Council, Life Skills Program, Science Fair, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, VFW Essay Contest, Altar Serving, and Service Activities.
