Fourth Grade is an exciting transitional year where students take meaningful steps toward greater independence and responsibility in their learning journey. 

Academically, they deepen their reading comprehension skills through novel studies and collaborative book clubs, where they analyze themes, characters, and main ideas while fostering a love for literature. Writing becomes more detailed as students learn to express their ideas clearly through different forms of writing. 

In math, they tackle multi-step problems that challenge their critical thinking. Beyond academics, Fourth Grade nurtures emotional and spiritual growth, providing a supportive environment where students build resilience, develop empathy and explore their faith more deeply.  The Fourth grade year helps students gain the skills and confidence needed as they prepare for middle school.

Fourth Grade Favorites include: Wax Museum/State Projects (alternating years,) Publish a Class Book, ABC Countdown, their annual field trip to Cranbrook, & Kindergarten Reading Buddies (a tradition that started almost 30-years ago!)
